The season is starting to kick into gear! MWFA Women’s Premier League Round 3 will be played on Sunday afternoon and some of our teams have been extra busy with midweek Cup games.
Wakehurst had a comfortable Sapphire Cup victory on Wednesday, earning their fourth consecutive win in all competitions. The Tigers face a Manly Allambie side seeking their first league points of 2023. Pittwater RSL also have a short turnaround from midweek Sapphire Cup action and they travel to Grahams Reserve for a game against Brookvale, with both sides looking to bounce back from defeat in WPL Round 2.
League leaders Seaforth are backing up from victory in their Challenge Cup semi-final – their next task is a trip to David Thomas Reserve and a meeting with Manly Vale, who are hoping to replicate their success in WPL Round 1. Meanwhile, Curl Curl were big winners last weekend, and they host a Beacon Hill side who also earned their first WPL victory of 2023 in Round 2.
We would also like to wish the best of luck to Curl Curl and Wakehurst, who meet in the second MWFA Women’s Challenge Cup semi-final. This game will be played at Abbott Road Field 5 on Wednesday 26 April, kick off is at 7pm.
