Luke Ventress – Meritorious Service Award Winner

Manly Warringah Football Association is proud to announce that Luke Ventress from Manly Vale FC is the winner of a Meritorious Service Award.

Luke’s involvement with Manly Vale started 40 years ago as a five year old, and has continued uninterrupted since then. He is still running around, playing Over-35s, and he was amongst the first of his team to volunteer for a refereeing course & team referee duties.

From his early days as a Manly Vale player, Luke’s long-standing on-field involvement quickly extended to off-field and Committee participation. He served as club Treasurer for six years, between 2006 and 2012.

Since 2012, Luke has been a groundskeeper, volunteering to help with marking the fields and putting up nets. In addition to his groundskeeping role, Luke always makes himself available for anything the club needs, whether it be taking deliveries, organising presentation days & other club functions, sorting gear, or working at gear handout days. Luke is always there, putting his hand up to help the club.

Luke has been tirelessly volunteering his time to benefit his club for 18 years and he continues to do so up to this day. Manly Vale FC is very fortunate to have Luke’s contribution.

We congratulate Luke on being the recipient of a Meritorious Service Award.
