Manly Warringah Football Association is proud to announce that Sue Delbridge from Dee Why FC is the winner of a Meritorious Service Award.
Sue’s first involvement with Dee Why was as a parent. She immediately became a valued member of the club, helping by volunteering in the canteen and on the BBQ.
The following season, Sue joined the Dee Why Committee. She was immediately thrown in the deep end, taking on a role as the club’s Registrar after the previous Registrar quit during the pre-season registration process. Sue wasn’t fazed and is still in this role 11 years later, having navigated many changes along the way. Dee Why is grateful for her efforts, as she has made the registration process much smoother between the club’s players and MWFA.
In addition to her Registrar duties, Sue was also instrumental in ensuring that the club followed Working With Children Check requirements, a process that she manages to this day.
Sue’s influence as both a solid committee member and a loyal club supporter has assisted Dee Why’s push for growth in numbers of players, especially juniors.
We congratulate Sue on being the recipient of a Meritorious Service Award.
